I am Tsering Dolma, a Tibetan lifestyle journalist based out of New York City. My area of interest lies in fashion, arts, culture, feminism and Buddhist epistemology. I also deeply care about Tibetan freedom movement (Tibet was invaded by Communist China in 1949). I’m currently working as an intern with a Public Relations Agency for fashion brands. I also contribute articles for The Hindu, a reputed national newspaper in India.

After completing my Bachelor of Arts in English literature from University of Madras (2009), I took up an intensive Post Graduate Diploma course in Broadcast journalism from Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media, Bangalore. During this course, I interned with NDTV (a national news channel) and assisted their reporters with transcription, interviews and video editing.

After studying TV Journalism, my career though began with new media. In my position as a sub editor with Sify.com, an online news portal, I wrote articles, picture galleries, slideshows, edited videos and managed the entertainment section of the site. My brief stint with online journalism (a year), paved a new way towards print. So, I had to grab the opportunity to work as a sub-editor cum reporter with The New Indian Express. For almost two years, I enjoyed reporting and writing several cover stories and articles pertaining to various fields like fashion, entertainment, health and retail.

I’ve also worked as an editor of a Delhi-based fashion and lifestyle magazine called Fusion Life. Since it was a small team, I singlehandedly managed everything, from editing stories, to arranging for the cover shoots including sourcing high-end wardrobe, contacting freelance photographers and stylists.

My love for writing is slightly parallel with the frequency of an adolescent’s crave for the booze. I write when I’m happy, I write when I’m sad, I write when I’m excited. And sometimes, I just don’t write at all.

I am also a pseudo philosopher.  But more than talking, I love to listen. I believe in living a meaningful life. One should not harm others but cultivate warm heartedness and be the best version of themselves.

Through this blog, I intend to share my experiences, thoughts and inspiration. Hope you enjoy going through it.
